Carlos Melendez, owner of the award-winning
Mexican restaurant Coyote Crossing opened a second location at 102 Market Street in West Chester, PA. The authentic restaurant explores the foods and flavors of Mexican
cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere featuring a spectacular three-story fireplace tower, dining in a garden
setting of the indoor courtyard and the 100-seat roof deck.
Situated in a former bank building from the 1930's, the
restaurant's exterior features weathered plantation shutters, black wrought iron sconces and a sixfoot
custom coyote sculpture.
DAS incorporates warm, rich hues reminiscent of Mexico's natural landscape with imported
terra cotta tiles, wood lattice ceilings, exposed antique wood and custom-designed wrought iron light
fixtures to create an inviting atmosphere. The focal point of the 175-seat restaurant is the dramatic
floor to rooftop fireplace tower, surrounded by a river rock bed with flowing water.
On the first floor, two dining areas are divided by a 30-seat bar made out of oak and polished
concrete. Three more comfortable dining areas on the second floor provide additional dinner
seating, business meetings and private parties for any occasion.
