DAS Architects, one of the country’s top design firms, has promoted Janey Garrido to the position of Design Director. With nearly 20 years in the design industry, Garrido brings a passion for problem solving in any design environment and views interiors as spaces to be sculpted into environments that enhance the lives of others.
With previous roles as a Senior Interior Designer at some of Philadelphia’s top design and architectural firms, including Daroff Design and Floss Barber, she has been a part of developing numerous hotels, casinos and luxury multi-family projects around the country.
As part of the DAS team, some of Garrido’s projects have included The Reeds at Shelter Haven, a luxury boutique resort in Stone Harbor, NJ; The Granary, a new multi-family residential concept at the time for Philadelphia that featured bespoke amenities; renovation of the historic Curtis Center into more than 100 luxury residences; and Boyds Philadelphia, a complete rebranding and renovation of the iconic clothing boutique.
A diverse range of experiences that have allowed Garrido to bring a thoughtful approach to design, a spirit of collaboration with other disciplines, and a positive style of leadership and mentoring to everything she does.
A graduate of Drexel University, Garrido lives with her husband and three children in the West Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.
Below are just some of the projects she has worked on.
